Having a proper nutrition is vital to living a healthy lifestyle as it affects your health now and in the future. A good diet combined with physical activity are two essential things that are required to promote healthy living, a healthy weight and reduce the risk of getting chronic diseases such as heart diseases, type 2 diabetes, hypertension,  certain types of cancer and osteoporosis.

Good dietary habits are important for both children and adults, hence one should consider and check what they put in their mouth. It is not an easy process to follow if you are not disciplined, and that’s why a diet plan would help you stay on track. Every nutrition expert will tell you that the key to a successful diet is by having a meal plan.

There are various benefits of having a diet plan, and 5 of these are:

When you sit down and plan your meals for the next several days, it will lessen the chances of you eat or ordering out hence making unhealthy choices. Writing down a menu helps you come up with meals which provide nutrition to your body, do your shopping early so that you can prepare your well-balanced meals. These meals are usually packed with nutrients, unlike the foods that are prepackaged and fast foods hence eating healthy.

When you have a diet plan, you know what healthy groceries to shop for because you already have a list of what is needed. Planning will ensure that you don’t run out of an ingredient that you need to cook your meals and you don’t have time to go for it hence causing you to eat or order out. Diet plans help you shop only according to your diet, and you don’t have to have any food stored at the back of the fridge just because it wasn’t planned for or was bought unnecessarily.

  1. You enjoy a variety of meals

When you don’t plan, you are likely to eat the same foods over and over which brings about boredom. Planning helps you enjoy a variety of meals, hence eating five or seven different meals in a week, and this helps in providing your body with optimum nutrition.

  1. You will have less stress

It can be very stressful if you don’t know what to cook for dinner and you also waste time trying to make a decision. Having a diet plan will help you know in advance what is to be cooked hence plan ahead. For example, if you plan to cook chicken you will remove it from the freezer early enough so that it will have defrosted by the time you want to cook it. Planning also saves time because you can pre-cook foods and freeze them for a future meal

Eating or ordering out can easily cause a dent on your pocket and stretches your food budget while cooking at home is cheaper hence saves you money. When you plan your meals, you will budget for what amount you expect to use for shopping and also get to buy groceries in stores where they are sold cheaply.

New Weight loss Program Allows Dieters to Lose in 21 Days What They Would Normally Need 2 to 3 Months to Lose!

Losing weight can be a slow process, and due to human nature, when dieters don’t see immediate results they can get discouraged, which often leads them to either stop trying to lose weight altogether or to start jumping from program to program — never giving any diet the time it needs to work.

Nutritionist/personal trainer Brian Flatt recognized this problem and created a new diet program that allows users to lose 12-23 pounds in just 21 days. The program is called The 3 Week Diet.

“Now dieters can see their progress almost immediately, so instead of growing discouraged, they become encouraged, and they devote even more energy to their diet,” said Flatt, who is also the owner of R.E.V. Fitness in Southern California. “Nothing promotes success like success.”

Flatt said the reason his program works so much faster than other weight loss programs is because of its focus on breaking down harmful triglycerides.

Flatt explained that when we eat, the fat we consume is broken down into fatty acids. These fatty acids are very small and they’re able to travel in and out of cell walls to make themselves available as energy for the body. But, when those fatty acids can’t be used and we get ready to eat our next meal, the remaining fatty acids are stored away in our fat cells.

This is where the problem begins. Those fatty acids that are being stored away combine with two other fatty acids and a glycerol molecule to create what’s known as a triglyceride.

Triglycerides are very big, and because of their size aren’t able to exit the fat cells like those free-flowing fatty acids can. As a result, triglycerides become stubborn body fat that is so incredibly difficult to get rid of.

“But here’s the thing,” Flatt said. “Those triglycerides can be targeted, and they can be broken back down into those fatty acids that can be burned by the body for energy. In fact, when we break down those triglycerides, it’s kind of like dumping rocket fuel into your vehicle’s gas tank. Those broken down triglycerides flood the body with a great source of energy that it actually loves to burn.”

Flatt designed The 3 Week Diet to not only break down existing triglycerides, but to prevent the body from forming new ones.

His program does much more to help dieters lose as much weight as possible.

  • It corrects bad weight loss information that dieters receive on other plans.
  • It also provides dieters with a simple, easy-to-follow weight loss plan. Studies have shown that difficult plans which include counting calories or extensive exercise programs simply don’t work because people don’t stay on them.

The end result — dieters are able to lose more weight in three weeks than they would in two to three months on another diet program.

Exercise OR Not?

See how great I feel!

Many dieters or those who want to lose weight think that exercise is necessary to lose weight.

My plan was not to exercise much, other than walking the dog twice a day. I tried to walk fast ( Charlie made me), but because of my physical condition, arthritis, severe leg neuropathy, I wasn’t able to do much more than that.

If you can exercise go ahead and do it as you will shed pounds and feel better overall. I won’t hurt to do the treadmill, run or lift weights but I’m here to tell you that I lost the 50+lbs without much exercise.

As I lost weight, the pain of arthritis, neuropathy got better and better, so if your body is hurting expect to feel a lot of pain relief!

After losing 50lbs! Now 245lbs!

I wanted to let y’all know how I lost 50lbs and that you can do it too!

Maybe you don’t need to lose 50lbs but what about 10-20lbs? That would make a huge difference, wouldn’t it?

I not only feel soo much better (much less arthritis, neuropathy, sleep apnea, acid reflux and better leg circulation) but look and feel more energy. I need to buy new clothes though. LOL Ready to get going? Visit Dr. Colbert’s fantastic web site.

There are lots of free recipes and advice from Dr Colbert who is a practicing physician in Florida. I did the 21 detox diet for 5 weeks but you don’t need to do that. The recipes are great tasting and I never went hungry, felt more and more energy, less pain, and overall feeling of being on top of world!

I walk my dog twice a day and much farther than before. I have an implanted spinal cord stimulator for leg neuropathy that I haven’t turned on since I lost the weight. I use to wear a back belt too which I don’t anymore. I ride my bike without pain and go much farther than I could 10 years ag0! Not bad for a 72 year old. Just because you are getting old doesn’t mean you have to stop exercisng and develop a big belly. I’m proof. Get motivated and do it! I’ll be happy to help in anyway. You think I’m excited? You BET!
